Season After Advent Week 2 - Contemporary

Advent is the season of waiting! But instead of being frustrated as we wait, we give thanks for it as a sign of God’s Grace.  As it says in 2 Peter 3: “The Lord . . . is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” God always wants to restore people in relationship to Him.  In Isaiah, we hear these words: “‘Comfort, comfort my people,’ says your God.”  That comfort ultimately came from the work of Jesus upon the cross. Today, this is still God’s work in and through us.  That makes it more than a suggestion — we are comforted by Grace, therefore we graciously comfort others..
