Ezekiel speaks to people who have become experts at explaining why their problems aren’t really their fault. God refuses to play along. He calls His people to stop making excuses, repent, and turn around. But this is not the voice of a God eager to condemn them—it is the voice of a God who wants them back. The God who says, “You need to turn around,” is the God who wants to bring you home. So “Turn, and live” (Ezekiel 18:32).
