Romans 3 announces the greatest exchange in history: your sin for Christ’s righteousness, your chains for His freedom. That’s what happens at the cross—Jesus takes your worst moments, your anger, your failures, your shame, and in return, gives you His perfect record, His innocence, His life and liberty. This is what Luther rediscovered during the Reformation: we are justified—declared right with God—not by our works but by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. No more trying to earn God’s approval. No more carrying the crushing weight of guilt. No more living in fear of judgment. The verdict is in: forgiven, free, and loved forever! Amen.
