Season of Advent - "Abound in Hope" - T

We hope for a lot of things in life—warmer days, smoother weeks, fewer burdens—but Romans 15 points us to the One who gives us a hope far stronger than our circumstances. Today, St. Paul reminds us that our hope has a name: Jesus. He is the promised Root of Jesse who came, who rose, and who is coming again. This Advent, we lift our eyes from the flimsy hopes of the world to the certain hope of Christ. So, no matter what you’re facing, take heart: the “God of hope fill[s] you with joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope” (Romans 15:13).
